What to Expect
The Graphics Shop has been installing vehicle wraps since 2009. We have installed long and short term vinyls on vehicles and other advertising surfaces. We use both wrap materials and vinyls for the more simpler designs. Below is what you should and should not expect from your vehicle graphics and installation.
Wrap Life Expectancy
This will depend on the application. If you are doing the inside walls of your business, the wrap could be good indefinitely, depending on sun exposure. Exterior walls depend on the condition of the wall the wrap is being placed on. Glossier finished walls with minimal crevasses would be ideal. For any other type of wall, please consult our experienced staff. Typical vehicle wraps are good for 3-5 years. Floor wraps in high-traffic areas don’t last quite so long because of all the traffic.
Possible Imperfections and Seams
Many wraps have wrinkles, bubbles and seams. It is possible to prevent or repair some if not all wrinkles and bubbles. It is also possible to prevent many seams. Large size, complex curves can create the possibility of wrinkles, bubbles and seams. Remember, this is ultimately a large sticker being placed over your vehicle or desired surface. This is not a paint job. Limitations with seams are inevitable due to the size of your desired wrap surface and the limitations of our technology and materials.
With complex compound curves and various shapes and contours of vehicles, certain areas will be more difficult to cover than others (door handles, front grills, etc.) Option will be discussed upon consultation.
Possible Damage to Paint
Most wraps that are removed from factory-painted vehicles do not damage the paint underneath, however paint damage is possible on all wraps, especially those that have aftermarket paint jobs and paint that is corroding. It is also possible but unlikely to see scratches on your vehicles surface after removal of the wrap. We take precautions to make sure that we take the best care of your vehicle as possible.
Damage to the Wrap After Installation
Most wraps that get damaged can be fixed a lot easier than any custom paint job because your design can be reprinted or re-adhered. If you notice any damage we ask that you contact us right away. A small rip or tear could easily become a huge problem very quickly.
